About
During this time of uncertainty, it is crucial that your children get the resources and attention they need to succeed. My goal is to create an environment where my students feel comfortable asking questions and opening up with their concerns. I am willing to travel to your home to give them the one-on-one attention they deserve.
I am currently on my third year at Weber State pursuing a math major (Computational Statistics and Data Science).
Experience:
- Graduated high school with honors.
- I have my Programming Proficiency Certificate (so I can help with programming too!!).
- I am just beginning my career in tutoring but I already have dozens of hours of tutoring experience with varing levels of math.
I love watching my students light up when they finally understand a concept. Many of us have told ourselves for so long that we are "bad" at math that we have limited ourselves. I love watching my students break that mindset.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually spend some time getting to know the student so that they will feel more comfortable opening up to me. Often times the student lacks the confidence to speak up in a class environment. By me getting to know them and their needs, I will be able to help them build that confidence they need to succeed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Computational Statistics and Data Science major. In my field I take statistical analysis and put it in a mathmatical model that can predict an outcome for a given company. What does this mean for your child? Basically I use a lot of math everyday from basic Algebra up to Calculus.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 /hr per student. I usually only travel up to 25 miles from my home, but I am willing to make expections (pricing will vary from the standard rate based how far out of that 25 mile radius I am traveling).
How did you get started teaching?
I am very experienced managing teams and giving regular trainings to my employees. This is where I first developing the love of teaching. The rest of my experience has been gathered through the various students that I have tutored.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with the youngest being 9 and the oldest being a senior in high school.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite moments are the ones where the concept finally clicks. We often have told ourselves that we are "bad" at math for so long that we have limited ourselves. My favorite moments are when my students break out of that mindset.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that has an invested interest in your life! The whole point of tutoring in my opinion is to give that one-on-one time and to tailor the teaching to the individual needs. That can only happen if the teacher truly cares.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The most important thing is not rushing. That means having the discipline to write every step out (even if you think it is easy and don't need to) and to be willing to work through the entire problem 2 maybe even 3 times. Once you have slowed down and tried again and are still having issues, then it is time to reach out for help.
