Hi there! My name is Jo and I love teaching. My favorite subjects are math and science, specifically chemistry! I genuinely care about people and I believe my approach to tutoring reflects this. My goal in tutoring is for students to fully understand the subject at hand, while enjoying the process of learning. I’m a firm believer in the philosophy of “How would you know unless you’ve been taught?” In other words, I believe that if a student doesn’t fully understand a subject it is the role of the teacher to explain it in a new or different way.

In terms of qualifications: I’m a recent graduate from Baylor University with my degree in Chemistry. I’ve worked in tutoring type roles for the past 4+ years, from tutoring for high school chemistry to teaching college level chemistry labs at Baylor! I have truly loved every opportunity.
