I have worked with students ranging from K to 12, and from a wide variety of backgrounds, so I know how to shift my style of tutoring to fit a certain age group or to fit a certain student wtih a unique personality.
I also teach a wide variety of subjects from math to physics to computer science because I know that every student could have a different academic need in each coming week.
I am very deliberate in how I spend my time during a session. I contact my clients beforehand to gather all information I need before preparing for the session. I do this to ensure that the session is entirely productive and efficient for the client. I also follow up before the next session to ensure that the client can prepare in their own way before the next session. I can then clear up any confusion about new material or teach any new material if necessary in the next session.
I love tutoring because I truly enjoy spending time with a student and helping them learn what I already have grown to love and learn about. It is about sharing my passion for these subjects that makes me excited to go out and do it again for another student. When you see a lightbulb go off in a kid's head, it is truly special in that moment and I want to keep on reliving that moment.
