About
Howdy! Welcome to my tutoring services.
I am a recent college graduate in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and have a passion for STEM subjects and helping others.
I want to help you understand the concepts that may be giving you difficulty. From my personal experience, it takes someone believing in you and explaining things to you kindly to understand and enjoy the tougher subjects.
My tutoring interest is mainly rooted in wanting to keep my mind active and help others while I start my full time position in July as a Technical Account Manager for VMware in Austin,TX.
Help me help you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe learning and teaching are unique to each student. This comes from my own personal experience as a student. I realized that I need to be in a specific environment to be most productive. This include time of the day that I work, and what kind of music I listen too.
Therefore, it is important that I understand how my student works best and I think this should be established by working with my student one-on-one.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a recent college graduate and throughout my time at Texas A&M University I became involved in peer mentoring and tutoring. Since 2018, I started peer tutoring for one of my favorite professors and peer mentored for the access and inclusion office at the college of engineering.
I really enjoy working with others to help them. I have always sought out positions where I can coach and help others. During my time in high school I was also a competitive swim coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I think it's important for me to meet my students first and assess their specific needs. Every lesson is different because everyone learns differently!
I am committed to helping students learn and succeed.
How did you get started teaching?
My interest in teaching is rooted in my passion for learning, and wanting to help those around me. I believe that we learn from everyone in our lives, and I also want to learn from my students. I want them to excel in the subjects that they are struggling in, but I also want to learn from them!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide variety of students. From elementary school students to college students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am so happy I participated as a Junior Achievement volunteer for an elementary school near by. It sparked a teaching passion in my I was not aware I had. I was able to spend the whole day with fifth graders teaching them about finance, and it was rewarding how excited they were for me to be teaching them. That day, I learned more about myself than I thought possible.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire someone that understand your specific learning needs. Hire someone who is patient, and wants YOU to succeed in your academic life and your personal life. It is important for a tutor to understand that YOU are unique and have specific needs that the lessons need to be tailored to.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is it that frustrates you when you are learning in class?
What do you like about being in class while learning the subject?
Do you have problems understanding the question itself, or getting started in working out the problem?
