Simi has over 3 years of professional tutoring experience. She is currently a student at New York Institute of Technology majoring in Architecture. Simi loves all things Math, English and Art related. She is verse in a variety of curriculums ranging from : Common Core, NYS Common Core and Cambridge. She is a member of the Association for the Coaching and Tutoring Profession(ACTP),National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). She tutors students in elementary and middle school Math, ELA (English Language Arts), Art and High school math (Algebra 1 ). She is also an executive functioning coach for student's of all ages.
Simi founded OAF Academy to provide accessible and affordable tutoring services across the nation. While doing this she has been able to keep to her mission " Instilling confidence one lesson at a time."

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our approach is very holistic.There is always a get to know me session before tutoring begins. The student and the tutor talk about their interests and find a way to make learning as fun and efficient as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored at various companies ( varsity tutors, club x tutoring etc ) I've also hosted different co-curricular camps.
