I've been an adjunct professor at Houston Community College since August 2005. I've taught all the levels of intensive English courses. I've a master's degree in Linguistics and have done one on one tutoring for almost three years. I speak French and understand a little bit of spanish. I'm passionate about helping a student who can barely write or speak english master the dos and don'ts of the English language.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin with an assessment to determine the student's level. Once that is identified, I provide a course outline.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taught Esl and ESOL courses for more than a decade. My lingusitics background is an advantage. It helps me undertsand my students better.
