Arghya Peddakotla

I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Collegium V Honors College at The University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Information Technology and Systems. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with students across a variety of learning environments, from private tutoring and tutoring centers to university-level peer instruction and classroom support.

Most recently, I spent three years as a Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) Leader at UT Dallas, where I led collaborative calculus workshops multiple times a week and helped students strengthen both their understanding and confidence in challenging material. Before that, I worked as a private tutor for a year, spent a year at a tutoring center providing individualized academic support, and completed a two-year internship at Booker T. Washington Elementary School, working directly with students in a classroom environment.

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students reach the moment where concepts finally start to make sense. I know every student learns differently, so I focus on adapting my teaching style to fit each individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is always to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving at their own pace.

In addition to my academic background, I also have professional experience working in technology and cybersecurity, which has strengthened my communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Balancing technical work, leadership roles, and academics has taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently — something I bring into every tutoring session.

Whether a student needs consistent academic support, help preparing for exams, or simply a different way of approaching difficult concepts, I strive to make learning feel more approachable, less stressful, and ultimately more rewarding.
