What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we go over the goals and determine which topics to focus on whether it be understanding concepts for a test or homework. Discuss any learning difficulties that have inhibited learning in the past.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in construction engineering and have tutoring friends and family in Algebra, Calculus, and various other subjects throughout the years.
My diverse background has given me many tools to connect with different people and get them engaged and focus on the material. I genuinely enjoy math and teaching so between my enthusiasm and understanding of the subject increases the likelyhood of the subject matter sticking.

$30/hr for in person/online tutoring- $20/hr for any necessary outside lesson planning.

Gosh, it's hard to think of one with the pandemic and all, but my mother's 50th birthday was the other day and I enjoyed the time with family.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be honest when you don't understand something so you don't fall behind, sometimes you need to look at something a few different ways before something clicks.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Try to pinpoint which subjects you are struggling with the most and allocate materials like practice tests, textbook assignments, and the syllabus to help figure out where to focus.
