About

Hi, my name is Julian Cortez.

I offer online tutoring services.

I am a Phyisicist from Colombia (where I'm currently located) . I have solid foundations in physics and math, from the very basics to some more andvanced topics, including precalculus, differential calculus, integral calculus and multivariable calculus. Besides, I am a native spanish speaker, which makes me the ideal option to learn the language and to have the ideal speaking partner to practice with.

I have been teaching people from the US since 2020 (online tutoring). I have taught school children, highschool level and grown ups, all of them with excellent results.

In my lessons I do whatever I can so my students can understand perfectly what they want to learn.

I am a very patient teacher and a very good explainer.

I love explaining concepts to my students and figure out what is the best way to do it so the student understands completely

I enjoy so much when the student is undersanding the subject and getting a taste for it, that is my main goal as well.

I think Physics and Math are very important, not only in school and college but also in life, because they give you an understanding about nature and the foundations for technology. On the other hand, learning a new lannguage opens up your mind to new cultures, people and places, furthermore it is a nice brain excercise!

    Frequently asked questions

First I have to know what the lessons are going to be about, and how often would it be  so I can prepare it, then we schedule the lesson. I ask some questions to the student in order to make sure that he or she has the previous knowledge he will be able to understand the new topic. If not, we do a brief review of the required topics.  From there we start a process (if the student wants to) in which we see each other as often as the student requires.

I am a Physicist so I have a pretty good knowledge on physics and math.

I am a native spanish speaker so I am capable of teaching spanish as a second language. I am the ideal speaking partner who can help you improve your pronunciation and to use casual native expressions when speaking.

20-30 per hour depending on the complexity of the subject. from school to college level.

Since I was begining my studies my classmates saw I was really good so some of them started to ask me for help, later on some other people started hiring me to explain them physics and math. Lately I have been working with students in the US teaching them math.

I have worked with school students, from 5 years old, up to college students of 23 years or older.

I am currently teaching algebra to a nineth grade kid.

You should look that the teacher really likes his job. That he is reliable, confident and very polite with the student.

Will the teacher be able to help me?

How many hours would be better to work in order to achieve he desired results?
