Brinson Math And Physics Tutoring
About
I am a class of 2018 graduate from the California Institute of Technology (BS in Physics). I'm currently taking a gap year before I begin my graduate studies in physics in the fall, and I am offering tutoring services until then. I have a rigorous background in math and science, and I'm excited to share what I've learned.
As a former teaching assistant at Caltech, I also have formal experience explaining difficult concepts to others, and I know how to properly guide students on problems in a way that develops their conceptual understanding in addition to leading them to correct solutions.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I independently review the material and any problems that we might go over. In session, I start by asking questions to gauge the student's understanding and identify any potential sources of confusion. If there are any obvious holes, I will adress those, but otherwise we will begin working problems to develop familiarity with the subject.
