I was originally born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and now live in New Braunfels, Texas! Currently, I work as a substitute teacher for Comal ISD and also teach music lessons at Music and Arts in New Braunfels!
I’m a recent graduate of Texas State University with a bachelor's in English/creative writing and a minor in Latino studies. With my educational background, I am well-versed in researching, writing, literature, reading, comprehension, and test-taking!! From preschool age through collegiate-level learning.
In addition to my qualifications as an English tutor, I can offer specialized support for students with learning disabilities. I myself grew up with a learning disability and also have experience working with students with learning disabilities in my job as a substitute teacher.
Whether you’re looking for a tutor or an educator to be an additional support within your homeschooling journey or you’re looking for writing help in your collegiate journey, my skill set is very diverse, and I can offer an array of support specialized to your specific needs.
Currently, on my website, I show a flat rate for my tutoring sessions. However, I do operate on a sliding scale based on each family's specific needs and the number of students in their household. If finances ever become an issue, email me first, and we can always work something out. My goal as an educator is to be accessible to everybody, no matter their abilities or financial situation!
In the end, my students are very special to me. I’m not just a Tutor. I am also someone who will be here to support your student throughout their educational journey. I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and I have benefited from so many great educators in my life. I hope to be a positive influence on your students' educational journey. My goal in my sessions is to help not only my students reach their intended goals, but also foster a supportive learning environment that creates independent, well-rounded human beings! As my student roster grows, your sessions include access to my free Book Club, where my students can meet annually to discuss age-appropriate books for every learning level!! This is a great opportunity for homeschool students to access group learning and to encourage and foster a fun environment for reading and literature of all ages!!
Moreover, you can also have free access to my music education course that I will be starting to help your student, if interested, learn any string instrument of their choice!!
