Sophie Zellars

Hi! I graduated from the University of North Texas with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach Kindergarten-Sixth Grade and English as a Second Language. During my student teaching I worked in a second and fourth grade classroom and was able to begin to grow my identify as an educator. I just finished teaching abroad in Spain for a year and I was able to immerse myself in a different culture and learn new methods of teaching. I love to get to know each one of my students individually and plan my lessons to adapt to their needs and interests. I value creating a safe learning environment where my students and their parents have a voice in my classroom. My goal as a tutor is not only assisting my students in creating and accomplishing their goals but also growing and listening to feedback to become a better tutor!
