Sara's Tutoring And Study Help
About
I tutor with compassion and care, working for the good of each student I serve.
I enjoy helping students reach their potential. It is especially rewarding to witness a student having a 'lightbulb moment' as they learn or achieve something new.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I typically take time to get to know the student, get to know his or her needs and goals, and take time to mutually set expectations.
After this foundation is set, I make a plan in conjuction with the student and/or parents and begin tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have experience providing classroom help and proctoring tests, teaching clients with Autism using ABA therapy, developing and implementing curriculum in a Child Development Center, and tutoring students individually and in small groups.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of ages, with most of my recent experience involving elementary and middle-school students. However, I tutored peers throughout high school and college also.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should consider strengths and weaknesses in the subject as well as general goals.
Together, the student and teacher can develop a plan and set specific goals and expectations around the tutoring experience.
