About

I love the subject of Math and am here to spread the share of my still limited but still growing knowledge of Math with others. I have taken multiple AP courses mostly to do with Math and Science.

I get to teach others and help others which is something I've always liked doing.

Frequently asked questions

Before I take a student under my wing I always ask for past work, whether that be from class or just self-help books I want to see the work the student is doing and where they are making the mistakes. If the goal is to pass a class generally I will ask for a copy of the syllabus so I can create a better-tailored lesson plan.

Make sure to tell me what you want to get out of our lessons. Is it to get a certain grade average in a class, to get a certain score on a Test? Whatever your goal is make sure to tell me.

First lesson -  Benchmark I make sure I know where my student is.

Future lessons -  Before each lesson, I usually prepare a batch of practice problems and a study sheet for a certain topic whether that be derivatives, PEMDAS, Integration techniques, or whatever the student is learning.

Though I don't have formal training in teaching I have experience in teaching others in high school as a teacher assistant and tutoring in general.

These are my AP scores pertaining to Math and Science

Calculus AB and BC -> 5

Algebra-based Physics -> 5

Calculus-based Physics Mechanics - > 5

Calculus-based Physics Electricity and Magnetism -> 3

Computer Science -> 5

Statistics - > 4 (I haven't used stats in a while so I'll need to brush up if I'm going to tutor you in it)

I accept payment through CashApp, Venmo, and PayPal.

My base rate is $20/hr for anything that is K-12. Anything that is not deemed as K-12 but is still offered for example any type of AP class or sufficiently advanced class the rate goes to $30/hr.

Homework - I almost always assign homework. The amount of problems I assign generally depends on the subject. In the past, I had students who didn't do homework even if I assigned them homework.

I believe that homework as a tool of spaced repetitional memorization is a great tool for learning so I generally want to assign homework to help my students learn but since in the past when I provided it for free and was getting nothing out of I've decided that it is now something you will pay for at a price incrementing in $2.50.

Homework prices-

Basic - $2.50

Advanced - $5.00

Premium - $7.50 (Advanced, but with an answer explanation sheet)

Cheating-

In the past, I have been asked multiple times to take a test or do homework for prices on upwards of $70.

I WILL NOT HELP YOU CHEAT.

I see cheating as devaluing the work and time others put in and so I refuse to take part in it. Being as this is a platform to bring tutors and prospective students together I will work to help you learn but under no circumstance will I consciously help you or someone else cheat.

One-off sessions-

e.g Cramming for a test. As I don't have much time to prepare it charges a premium of $40

Test Prep-                                                                           SAT - $25/hr
ACT - $25/hr                                                                ASVAB - $20/hr

I got into teaching around my junior year at high school where I was a member of a Math club that worked as assistants to teachers and helping people learn.

I have worked with many types of students though I have the most experience in working with high school-age students learning anything from Algebra to Calculus.

I went out to eat with the people from my online class at College despite only seeing them through the screen. The last week of class in my Rhetoric class we were just talking about our lives at home and the world in general. We became a pretty close-knit group at this time and decided we would meet up sometime after the semester had ended.

See if the way they teach as described by them seems to be a fit for you.

Q: "Is this a dumb question?" -> A: "Probably not" I'll answer your question whatever it is as long as it's appropriate.
