About
Howdy!
I’m Jordan and I’m here to help with any math tutoring needs you have. I have a degree in mathematics from Texas Tech University and have taught/tutored for the past two years.
My goal is to help teach you in a way that you can remember and replicate, rather than just memorizing answers to tests. I teach towards all learning types and will take the time to find the best learning strategy for you.
Can’t wait to work with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I see how the student attempts to solve their homework or practice problems in order to gauge their level of understanding and teach in a way that matches their own learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Mathematics and currentlu am a PhD student in Mathematics as well. I also currently work as a tutor for my university.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically will charge $30/hr for most subjects.
How did you get started teaching?
I was hired as a Teaching Assistant at my university and kicked off my teaching journey from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've primarily worked with university students and a few high school students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would look for a teacher that matches your learning style and speed. Especially for math, it is often the case that you just need to find the teacher who can explain the topic in a different way so that you can understand it.
