I have taught for 11 years and have a degree in special education. I have taught students in grades K-8 in all subject areas. I have been very successful providing engaging and innovative lessons and materials that reach a variety of learners with varying abilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by assessing the student to determine strengths and weaknesses. I also spend time getting to know the student and building rapport. That way I can build lessons around their interests and their abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin. I also am certified EC-4 elementary, 4-8 core content, and EC-12 special education

How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved working with children, even as a child. So teaching was a natural field for me. I love to work with students and help them to build confidence and reach their full potential.
