What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to hear what the parents desire, but I also listen to my students and observe what methods work for them. (Concrete/pictorial/abstract)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics. I have also been teaching since 2002.

How did you get started teaching?
My friend was a school teacher when she lived with me. I saw how much joy she felt from teaching. As soon as I started training, I knew it was the right fit for me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mainly worked with public school students in grades kindergarten, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Due to Covid-19, my school did distance learning. It was a great opportunity to work one-on-one with my students via Zoom. More focused, individualized instructions helped them better understand the concepts.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you know your learning style, express it to your teacher so you receive instruction best geared for your needs.
