FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

At CCP we love to meet with the family prior to pre-testing in order to get to know the student, family needs, and any special circumstances.  The next step is to pre-test.  After the pre-test is completed the family is given the results and a plan of action.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our teachers have BS degrees and most have teaching certificates.  Our teachers have 14 years (as an average) amount of teaching experience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We offer day school (depending on grade), private tutoring ($40.00 per hour), small group ($11.50-$13.00 per hour), and summer sessions ($11.50-$13.00 per hour ).

How did you get started teaching?

My personal background is the procurement of academic books for a large international company.  When our oldest daughter was struggling in school I began teaching her and one other child out of my home.  After just a short time the school grew to the point to rent a facility and add additional teachers.

What types of students have you worked with?

Many of our students have ADD/ADHD and other learning differences.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We are avid about science fair and our day school takes part each year.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?

We highly motivate students, however, it takes hard work to change your course.

What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?

How much time do you have to work toward your goals.
