About

We are exceptional SAT and ACT tutors that develop a personalized strategy tailored to your child's strengths and weaknesses. Our founder Adam Shlomi had an 800 in Reading and 770 in Math on the SAT -- good for the 99th percentile on both sections, went to Georgetown University, and has been tutoring for five years. We also offer free tutoring to those in need — money shouldn’t stop someone from achieving their dreams.

Tutoring is incredibly rewarding. All our lessons are one-on-one which allows us to make real bonds with our students. The chemistry between student and tutor helps us motivate, inspire, and teach students with a new level of effectiveness. We are also able to help students in need through our SoFlo SAT Scholarship.

    My SAT score improved 230 points after using SoFlo SAT Tutoring. I started off with the in-person tutoring but because my schedule is busy with softball and track I switched to online tutoring. I had never done any online learning beforehand so I wasnt sure if it was going to be work, but my tutor was amazing and they used an online whiteboard that showed all of their work step by step. I really connected with my tutor and she has helped me as Ive gone through the college process by talking about her experiences in college and what I should be thinking about.     I dont usually write reviews but SoFlos work was truly outstanding. My family has worked with other tutoring companies before, but this one has been the best by far. The price was reasonable and my daughter loved working with her tutor Matthew. Matthew kept me updated on how she was doing and what they were focusing on in their tutoring sessions. She felt herself getting better at the test and this was reflected in her final score. My younger son is currently tutoring with Matthew and I expect the same amazing results. SoFlo does great work and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for test prep.

    I never heard of SoFlo but signed up because I was struggling to find a tutor for my son. I liked that there were no contracts and my son got along with his tutor. I was just happy that my son was focused and doing his work, but when the SAT results came back and my son improved 190 points I was blown away. Im telling everyone that Adam was the best SAT tutor I couldve asked for.

    I went up 150 points in only 6 weeks of studying. SoFlo is the real deal. They teach from real SAT practice tests so I knew what to expect on test day. It was super simple to get started and my tutor was great. Savannah goes to University of Pennsylvania and gave me all her tips for the SAT. I just my score back and I couldnt be happier

    11/10 for SoFlo SAT Tutoring. Adam and his team did an amazing job working with my son. With only 12 sessions my son improved 170 points from his PSAT and reached his goal score. The team did an amazing job and I was very happy with the tutoring. 170 points is going to change his entire life!! Now he is a strong candidate for University of Virginia SoFlos Skype tutoring was also affordable. I had searched for a long time, and SoFlo is roughly the same price as an SAT Prep class, and much cheaper than any other tutor. Unbelievable value!

    Frequently asked questions

    The incoming student will complete a diagnostic assessment so we can assess their strengths and weaknesses in order to make a personalized growth strategy.

    I scored a 1570/1600 on the SAT and went to an elite university. All of our tutors scored at least a 1500 on the SAT and our most recent hire graduated Cum Laude from Princeton.

    In-person tutoring is $100/hour. We also offer Skype tutoring at the more affordable rate of $60/hour. We make exceptions for exceptional students and circumstances

    I worked at College Experts, an SAT prep center, before the founder passed away.

    We have worked with students from all over the country for both excellence and remediation. We put a lot of thought into the pairings between student and tutor to ensure there is chemistry and connection between the two.
