About

Hello!

My name is Imari, and I’m excited to help you reach your academic goals with guidance rooted in both experience and a genuine passion for learning. Along with 4 years of tutoring experience, I have a diverse educational background — I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Houston, my master’s in IT Risk Management from Georgetown University, and this fall I’ll be starting law school.

My journey through different fields, from social sciences to technology and now law, has given me a broad perspective and the ability to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to match your unique learning style, whether you need help mastering challenging material, improving study habits, or building confidence in your skills.

I know what it takes to balance big goals, busy schedules, and sometimes overwhelming coursework and I’m here to help you do the same. Together, we’ll focus on practical strategies, clear explanations, and steady progress so you can succeed not just in class, but beyond it too.

If you’re ready for supportive, flexible tutoring that adapts to you, let’s get started. I’d love to help you reach your next milestone!

Imari was great!! She was very interactive with my child and he was able to make progress quickly. She used strategies that fit him and quickly raised his grades. My son is a bit shy and now he is confident when he speaks and can socially interact with others. I love her. Sadly we moved out of state due to the pandemic and I am sad to have to leave her. Frequently asked questions

The very first step to teaching a student is talking to them and learning about them. By their likes and dislikes I will be able to create sessions customized to fit them.

I am a Military Science minor who is training to be an officer in the military. I will be able to teach your child critical learning skills that can be used beyond school.

I am currently at the University of Houston with a 3.6 GPA while handling track, school, work, and Rotc. This shows that I  am very organized and will be able to teach your child good time management skills.
