I am a dually certified public school teacher with 15 years experience teaching special education Elementary school students in the state of Texas. I've taught students with varying degrees of abilities to succeed using technology, and academic aids to assist them. I helped students in my special education classes to pass the standardized state tests at rates higher than my counterparts.
I want to assist those who need the help. I have success in elementary with math and reading but I am an all around teacher willing to learn, and make the processs fun and easier for any learners. Contact me here or on facebook at William King.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would need to get to know the student and understand where they are in the subjects that they need the most assistance in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graudated from ETBU and served as an academic case manager for about 60-100 different children over the past 15 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard rate is 60 $ an hour, 100$ for 2 hours.
How did you get started teaching?
My favorite teachers growing up at East Texas Baptist University taught me what I needed to know to succeed as a teacher and my father always impressed understanding the prerequisite knowledge.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've mostly worked with learning disabled students who are in the general education classroom and emotionally disturbed students. I have also served as a special education team leader as well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say learn what is really missing and where your gaps are to succeed. You must figure out where you lack before you can grow.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should ask themselves have I tried and come up short or have I not tried at all an want the answer given to me or just plan to give up. The student should be able to realize where they came up short and then more assistance can be given.
