Cross Calculation Tutoring provides students with a practical and personalized tutoring services carried out at their convenience. Before sessions begin, there is a unique evaluation that catergorically assesses where you/ or your child is struggling. This service includes one on one tutoring session supported by a plan of action creaed for each individual student.
As an experienced teacher, I see each new challenge as an opportunity for proactive, positive learning. I am kind, knowledgeable, very patient with my students and extremely well-rounded.
As a mother of a child with special needs, I hold a special place in my heart for students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and I possess the unique skills required to facilitate enjoyable learning to even the most exceptional students. I am passionate about helping my students discover their distinct learning styles and finding creative ways for them to learn and understand new concepts and materials, despite challenges.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The typical process of working with a student is identifying their learning techniques and the area in which they are struggling in the most. Create a plan that will be efficient and effective in regard to their particular goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching/ tutoring for the past ten years. I currently have a BS in Mathematics for Dallas Baptist University. I'm currently an Algebra II teacher within the local ISD.

How did you get started teaching?
Teaching was a childhood dream of mine. I loved working with others and helping them achieve their full potential. Math is a difficult subject for most so I pride myself in making it fun, relatable, and understandable.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students. As a mother of a child with special needs, I hold a special place in my heart for students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and I possess the unique skills required to facilitate enjoyable learning to even the most Exceptional students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently tutored a sixth grader that had Dyscalculia (dyslexia with numbers) and hearing issues. She struggled understanding math concepts and she had not been successful on a math exam. After several weeks of one-on- one tutoring, she passed her math exam with an 88.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise the student to ensure the teacher is able to meet and create lessons or sessions geared toward their learning style. That the teacher is efficient with the time provided for the session.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should pinpoint their area of struggle. Be able to articulate what they are having trouble with and what's the best way to meet their needs.
