About
At Explore Horizons, our tutors get to know each child as an individual. Whether your child is finding school challenging or are at the top of their class, we will help them to gain confidence, make academic progress, and develop a life-long love of learning, for success at high school, college, and beyond.
At Explore Horizons we celebrate success at every opportunity! Our tutors love to build bonds with children and help them become fearless learners! Gavin, age 12, says, "All the tutors are so nice, courteous, and patient, they love everyone here and they remember who you are." Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to contact the center and schedule a free trial session and educational assessment. Your family will be given a tour of the center, and your student will take an educational assessment in math and Language Arts. We will then create a dynamic learning plan with you and give you an opportunity to enroll.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our tutors are trained to become experts in the Texas curriculum and are knowledgeable about current teaching methods. Explore Horizons centers are run by enthusiastic and intelligent college graduates who know how to get the best out of children and make learing fun! They are great communicators and excellent role models.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
Explore was founded in England in 2001. It is now the leading provider of enrichment and tutoring in the United Kingdom. It was founded by Bill Mills, a Cambridge University mathematics graduate with a life-long passion for education. Bill's ethos behind Explore was to develop a tutoring company that would be used as a long-term complement to school. This unique approach to tutoring has already helped over 100,000 children in the United Kingdom.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with children of all ability levels ages 4-14.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
The key to success is not only learning knowledge, but also developing skills. At Explore we help students learn and practice the skills they need to be confident and fearless learners.
