About
Hi, my name is Shivali. I have been a 3rd grade teacher at Frisco ISD this past year, teaching both virtually and face-to-face. and I student taught fifth grade prior to that. I have worked with children between 3 months-13 years old. I have experience working one-on-one at a Montessori School for one year, and I have 2 years of daycare experience as well.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. Elementary Education, Certification EC-6th Grade. I have my TExES EC-6 Generalist Certification as well as my ESL certification. I am very patient, positive, and creative, and I am hoping to help elementary students stay successful during this transition time following online learning.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically begin with gathering data and information on my students. I use the first couple sessions getting too know students learning styles, reviewing past work, and administering diagnostics. It is extrememly important to establish a baseline and identify gaps in learning befoore moving forward with instruction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. Elementary Education, and I am Texas certified to teach Early Childhood Education to 6th grade. I have completed my student teaching in Frisco ISD and I have one year of classroom experience (virtual and face-to-face) in 3rd grade.

I typically charge $60/hour for a single student.
How did you get started teaching?
I discovered my love for teaching while teaching at Montessori schools through High School and College. From there, I pursued my passion at Texas A&M through field experiences, assistant teaching, & student teaching in the Bryan/College Station school system!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with Kinder, Pre-K, 3rd, and 5th grade students. I have also worked with English language learners, students with autism, and students with dyslexia, anxiety, and ADHD.
