About

Hello, I am a junior at DePaul University majoring in math with a concentration in applied math. I really enjoy talking about and explaining math to people and I hope I can bring that same joy to your student. I am comfortable teaching basic arithmetic up through calculus. I am flexible with my teching methods but I generally like to start by introducing a concept and encouraging students to think about it. Then I explain the math behind the concept and then finally explain its applications to the real world. Through this process, I hope I can be beneficial to your childs education and future endeavors with math. Thank you!

I like that I get to talk about the joys math. I like explaining how abritrary math problems look in our daily lives and what the importance is. Its always beautiful when a student makes that connection to the real world and is also able to be excited about math.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to start by talking with the student about their goals and gaining an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.

Currently pursuing a math degree at DePaul University

I price by whatever the customer sees to be fair though my minimum is $20/hour

I got started when in my algebra 2 class in sophomore year of highschool. I remember we were doing conic sections and a few of my friends were really struggling with them. Seeing my friends stuggle, I started to help them out and before I knew it I was tutoring.

I have typically worked with students in my math classes for math but I have also done work with younger students. All of my students have been students who were behind in there math classes but I would certainly love to tutor students who want to get ahead as well.

Recently I worked with some other students at DePaul University to see how large a pile of 1,000,000 squirels would be. I quite enjoyed being able to bond with friends through math.

Look for a teacher that is genuinely excited and motivated by math. Also make sure that your teacher moves at a pace that is beneficial to you. You want your teacher to push you but not overwhelm you. And always remember that teachers teach because they like their students and they are rooting for you.
