About

I'm a certified math teacher with over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I'm passionate about what I do and genuinely love math and physics and sharing it with others. I'm young at heart and like to crack jokes, and my students appreciate the fun atmosphere rather than traditional school settings. I meet the students where they're at, whether it be something as simple as help with homework to getting more in-depth to truly understand the material and get ahead in the subject.

I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.96 and have received many awards for excellence in math and electrical engineering. I've been tutoring for four years now and I really love it.

Being deeply interested in math and physics, there's nothing more rewarding than helping a student to understand the material and seeing them get excited about it and improve their grades. It's unfortunately very common for people to not like math or to think that they're bad at it, so I want to do my part to help students realize that it's not only not as difficult as they might think but that it can be fun and interesting as well.

My 17 YO works with Daniel on precalculus. He is very knowledgeable, patient and professional. He explains concepts really well and before tests gives him some notes on what he needs to remember. We highly recommend him!

Frequently asked questions

In the first session I want to get to know the student and what their goals are. I then will get an idea of where they're at by going over some schoolwork or doing a diagnostic exam. From there we will create a lesson plan so we're on the same page and know what we're working toward.

My most recent experience is teaching Precalculus at Liberty High School as well as tutoring math and physics to high school and college students. Before that I was a teaching assistant at my university for the engineering department. I really enjoyed it and got a ton of great feedback from both faculty and students. I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics and was an electrician in the Coast Guard. Other than that, I just really love math and physics and do it for fun in my spare time. And, when I have the time, I try to learn new subjects that interest me.

My standard pricing is $55 per hour. Sessions can be as long or short as needed. The price could be more than $55 per hour depending on the subject and other factors such as driving distance and the amount of preparation required, but it's usually $55 per hour.

I've always loved teaching in both formal and informal settings, including music theory, piano, guitar, Spanish, and other subjects. Math and physics have been a passion of mine for a long time, and after receiving a ton of great feedback as a teaching assistant in college and really enjoying teaching subjects that I truly love, I realized that this is what I wanted to do. I've been tutoring ever since.

I've worked mostly with high school and college students, but have worked with younger ages as well.
