Hello!

My name is Joy, and I am a Top Pro at Tutors.com. To share a bit about myself, I graduated from Yale University with a degree in Neuroscience and a certificate in Education. I've been tutoring and teaching for the past 5+ years and enjoy working with students of all ages and levels. I have experience teaching elementary, middle school, high school, and college students and have taught various subjects, including SAT/ACT prep, college essay writing, college admissions consulting, math, science, English, Korean, and more.

I interned for the nation's largest pre-service teaching training program, so I have experience working with students of different backgrounds and learning styles.

My specialty is college admissions consulting, SAT/ACT prep, and math. I've been an SAT tutor for four years and also have experience working for a private SAT prep company. In addition, it hasn't been very long since I've taken the SAT test myself, so I'm very familiar with the questions and testing strategies. I myself scored in the 99 percentile when I took the SAT in high school and received a perfect score (800/800) in the math section. I've also guided students through their college admission process and helped them gain admission to prestigious institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University.
