About
As Texas ceritified teachers and former teachers in grades Kindergarten through 12 in both Dallas and Arlington Independent School Districts, both my partner and myself are uniquely qualified to tutor students of all ages and help them succeed in the current educational landscape.
We both love seeing success. My (Courtenay) first education job was as a teacher assistant in Pleasant Grove, TX and there was no greater joy I found than helping those students learn to read and shore up their reading ability. That passion has followed me wherever I have gone and it has inspired me to become a tutor.
Priscilla loves helping children as well and has a true passion for elementary students and seeing their improvement in learning English as a second language, science and math.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The most important aspect of working with a new student is learning and understanding what prior knowledge to student has, which can be done in during the first part of the first session. After gathering this information, the tutor and the student or parent(s) can formulate an effective plan to help the student achieve all the success possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Both Courtenay and Priscilla are trained and certified educators - trained by Dallas ISD in their certification program, which gives us an intimate knowledge of the current education landscape in Texas and how to help students succeed in that system.
