About

I am a 26-year-old healthcare graduate student. Passionate about learning, one of my primary aims is to instill the same level of drive and desire to learn and understand in my students. Receiving salutatorian on completion of my high school degree and summa cum laude from undergraduate studies from the University of Tennessee, I not only strive to learn, but I know how to execute a plan both for myself and my students. Earning a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, I enjoy learning and teaching about these subjects, along with physics, anatomy and physiology, medicine and biochemistry. Other subjects I am versed in and happy to tutor in include English, grammar, literature, writing essays, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and array of history subjects, AP testing, SAT and ACT prep, college applications and GRE prep. From elementary school through college, I am happy to teach and adjust my teaching style according to my students' age, learning level and needs.

The best part of what I do is giving others the same tools to learn and succeed I was given by my past mentors and instructors. Seeing students grasp a topic and gain mastery over it is a great feeling and one I want to continue seeing in those I tutor.

Frequently asked questions

Meeting with new students entails getting to know what their goals for our sessions are, what they want to ultimately achieve, and determining how to best tailor the sessions to fit their needs as an individual.

As a medical graduate student, I have completed a B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, have shadowed over 30 doctors, completed a two-year research project concerning methods of extracting specific proteins related to Alzheimer's disease, worked as an emergency medical technician for two years and have excelled in my graduate studies to date.

One-hour session: $35

Two-hour session: $65

Three-hour session: $90

Teaching is something I started because one of the best ways I learned to grasp subject material is through teaching others. I have had the opportunity to teach dozens of athletes from the University of Tennessee and look forward to teaching more students from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area!
