About
From a very young age, I have had the opportunity to tutor other students at school or my siblings at home. Though these were in no means occurring in a professional setting, I have always offered my services without expecting anything in return because I genuinely enjoy being able to help others understand something as well as I do. That being said, I believe I would be a reliable tutor for students due to my sheer devotion to helping others. I believe I was always meant to help people, and this is the manner that is best catered to my knowledge and skills. I have had experience teaching students for 8 years through my school, with my specialty being subjects in Math, English, and Test Prep. I am also well versed in the college admission process and am more than eager to offer up my assistance for that.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Though I have no formal education or training, I have been tutoring students for the past eight years. I am well versed in all subjects K-6 and have a specialty in high school courses such as Spanish, Algebra, Geometry, English Composition, English Literature, Writing, and SAT Test Prep as well as help with the college admissions process.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are from $15-$30 an hour, depending on the distance I am required to travel.
How did you get started teaching?
From an extremely young age, I have tutored my siblings and classmate in subjects that I was knowledgeable in. When I was in fifth grade, however, I began to do this more often by offering my classmates help whenever they needed it. Since then, I casually tutored students but am now looking to tutor students in more formal settings.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked in tutoring students that were the same age as me, such as tutoring a student that was 12 years old while I was also 12 years old. I do, however, have experience with teaching students younger than me, as I have recently been tutoring my niece and nephew.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What areas are you lacking in? Do you need help with learning a specific subject, or do you need help in learning how to teach yourself things you don't understand? What are your strengths in a learning environment? How do those strengths affect your learning style?
