Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Through targeted assessments, I determine what areas a student is proficient in and what areas the student may need additional assistance. Once all the basics of mathematics are solid, we will explore the particular topics appropriate to the current grade level and preview topics of upcoming grade levels.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by the State of Texas for Math 8-12, Math 4-8, ESL endorsement, and as a Principal.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, both from the University of North Texas.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The minimum fee for tutoring is $40 for up to one hour of instruction. Should the student desire more time during the same session, the cost will be added in fifteen minute increments prorated at the regular hourly charge.
