Hi there! My name is Erin and I find joy in helping kids grow their reading, writing, and grammar skills to help them succeed in the rest of their life's endeavors.
I'm a young professional with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I paid for that Bachelor's degree with a scholarship I earned by writing essays. I also won an award for an essay I wrote while in college and often edited my friend's papers in exchange for coffees. What I'm trying to convey here is that I know my way around an essay, and I'm excited that I have the opportunity to help you find your way around your essays.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To start, I'd want to assess the student's academic needs to make sure we're a good fit with a complementary 10 minute chat! Then we can set up a weekly or bi-weekly tutoring schedule focused on working with your student's unique learning style to improve their academic understanding and performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did volunteer tutoring all through high school and worked as a 1st-6th grade after school teacher for 3 years in college. After I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology, I began working at a college prep business focusing on SAT and ACT grammar as well as essay writing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $13 for one hour-long tutoring session per week and $25 for two hour-long tutoring sessions per week.
How did you get started teaching?
Both of my parents are teachers! I learned early on that one of the greatest joys in life is sharing your passions with others through the gift of teaching
