One one end I'm a math wierdo. I think it's very applicable to life and I do conversions and mental math games in my head for fun. I've always been good at it and double majored in business/accounting.

And on the other end, I love people, learning, and understanding. I'm good at learning people and understanding how they thing. I'm great at taking that discovery time and my relational gifts and patience to help explain math in a way that makes sense to them and how they think/process. I also want to instill confidence and belief. I think a lot of people think they are just bad at math when really they were taught it in one way and not taught "why". If they know "why" and the different ways to solve something, it allows them to have a deeper understanding of the math concept, learn to think for themselves, and solve problems that make sense for them!

I've not formally taught or tutored, but I graduated from one of the top universities in the country and have worked directly in coaching young people on their growth goals and faciliated online courses ranging from ages 15 to 60 the past few years.

I recently tutored my cousin for fun, and she encouraged me that I was really good and should teach! That frankly sparked the passion and initiative to do this more often and impact more young people to understand math!
