About
With over 20 years of tutoring experience, I have helped everyone from elementary age to college-level with both remedial and advanced math and science. Coming from a family of educators I firmly believe that all students are capable of grasping and applying complex concepts if they are presented in a manner that encourages comfort and confidence in the students receiving the information. This always requires patience and attention to detail on the part of the instructor, and working 1 on 1 is the best way to ensure that this happens.
I enjoy helping students learn to adapt in an ever-changing world. All of my best teachers / professors have lived by the same educational philosophy: it is better to teach a student how to think, than to teach a student what to think. As the world changes and life / industries change with it, students must be able to adapt to fit into that world. Instructors and advisors will not always be there to hold their hand as they learn new skills, so students must learn how to think in order to adapt.
