Ms. Bogusch's Tutoring

I like to start by assessing my student's current level of understanding. I need to know what the student already knows as well as any misconceptions. This process will typically begin with conversation or a quick essential skill practice. I will target topics students need to be successful in their current class as well as provide interventions targeted at the student's area of need.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have additional certifications in 7-12 Mathematics and ESL. I've previously taught 5th grade math/science, Algebra 2, and Algebra 1. The past 2 years I've worked with bilingual students, students with special needs, and Deaf students.

I was inspired to teach by my third grade teacher. She saw my love of reading and learning as something to be cherished and helped challenge me so where I could grow. I want to be an advocate and ally for all students just as she was mine.

Where they are getting stuck. Can you get to a certain point in the process before becoming confused? Do you not know where to begin? Are you confused by what is being asked? Try and see if you can pinpoint where the problem is occurring.
