Ashley Florexil

I am a recent graduate of Lynn University. I got my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and worked with children in the mental health capacity for a year. I’ve helped with things such as test anxiety, emotional regulation, anger management, self-esteem, bullying, etc. Very recently, I’ve decided to change career paths and I am now a teacher who teaches the 1st grade. I’ve been a math tutor in the past, and have learned three things that are crucial for a child’s learning success: patience, repetition, and positive reinforcement! It takes time to learn and understand certain concepts, so patient is needed. How else can we truly learn something if we don’t do it over and over again? Lastly, positive reinforcement helps us shine and encourages us to keep doing our best!
