About
Math is my favorite hobby!! My greatest passion is helping those who might not share my love for numbers to establish the fundamental groundwork needed to fulfill their success.
Although you might not see a pocket protector on me, I am known around my crowd as the "mathematics geek." I studied at Texas A&M in applied Mathematics with a concentration in both Education and Statistics. However, my undergrad work had a minor in Kinesiology and English along with with my Mathematics major. Yes, at one point, I was talking Calculus 3, Non-Euclidean Geometry, Bowling and Children's Literature all at the same time. As you can see, I am diverse and see a well-rounded education as super significant!!
I enjoy sports such as football, basketball and track and field. Obviously, it is more in the "watching" capacity these days. However, you will find me out for a run, in the weight room or hiking / skiing in the mountains in Colorado. I enjoy being around water such as going to the beach or lake or camping in areas around the country.
My career has been two-fold in Education and Business. My outstanding people skills complement my ability to translate complicated math jargon into understandable and manageable concepts. With experience in Engineering Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Pre-AP Statistics, Honors Geometry and Gifted and Talented Secondary, you will find that my comprehensive knowledge and experience is second to none! Having a coach-like mentality, I break the lessons down into individual parts and master them one by one. This allows students to understand the step-by-step process that fits together in the more complex problems. My greatest attributes are ... patience, perseverance, remaining calm in emergencies, and being kindhearted.
Passing your Math Classes is a "Right of Passage" and no one should ever have to "go it alone!" You will enjoy my teaching style that provides a perspective and a game plan to assure you are a Winner in any subject!
