Hi there! My strengths lie in engaging your student through unlocking interest and providing support for their current coursework. I am 16 years old and I have math experience up to precalculus with a plan for AP Calculus next year. I have a passion and familiarity with english, math, and history curriculm currently taught in schools. I have experience working with young children, and would love to tutor your elementary or middle school student!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask the student themselves to describe to me their ability level, and if aplicable, show me previous work so I know where to begin. In the case of English or History, I believe students respond particularly well when they get to learn through topics of their own interest. Math usually involves trying to spark that interest so students can be self motivated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done peer tutoring at school as well as worked with small children as a camp counselor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students and parents should know what kind of goal they are trying to achieve. I may not provide the same level of instruction as a college graduate, but I am able to relate to the student and keep them engaged while still broadening their academic horizons. I can help generate interest, productivity, and improvement, but may not be able to provide my own in depth lessons in addition to what schoolwork and conceptual understanding I would be working on with you/your student.
