- Copy edit SAT and PSAT assessments for grades 7-12 (primary focus on grades 11-12) which included: support materials, test-related communications, and other test development publications to align content with assessment guidelines and TEKS
· Responsible for correcting written material, while checking readability, rigor, purpose, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, word usage, repetition and parallel structure to improve accuracy student success on SAT and PSAT
- Fully accountable for final stages of editing before material was released to students and teachers nationwide
- Checking accuracy in a variety of media such as online, video, display, email, blogs/articles, and campaign manifestos
- Responsible for checking copy-written content for plagiarism, false quotations, relevant photographs, and discrimination

Edgenuity – Copy Editor / Copy Writer
· Aligned prewritten assessments with the TEKS and Blooms Taxonomy
· Wrote content free of discrimination, loaded language and, false quotations while keeping structure of stems and choices parallel
· Worked directly with my supervisor to meet deadlines in a self-paced environment from home
· Wrote multi select questions for various grade levels while varying the type of questions written to keep student interest high

2001-2014
Arlington ISD – High School ELA Teacher - All Levels
· Wrote English/ Language Arts curriculum for the district, aligning TEKS and Blooms Taxonomy for teacher reference
· Deconstructed TEKS for grade level so teachers could better understand lessons to be taught in the classroom
· Served on the instructional model training team
· Wrote curriculum for End of Course (EOC) summer remediation and summer school
· Active committee member revising the curriculum in 2012 and 2013 for 11th and 12th grade curriculum
· Adapted delivery of lessons to the mixed learning levels of students - made modifications as needed to daily in-class assessments

· 190+ hours of on-going instructive growth for the classroom (both curriculum-based and behavior management)
· Attended Texas Christian University-Advanced Placement education, AVID, GT, and Sheltered training
