I have been a teacher for thirty-two years! I retired three years ago, but still work part-time as a gifted and talented teacher for grades third, fourth, and fifth. I taught first grade for six years, third for seven, and sixth for thirteen. I love teaching kids to love literature and care about the world. Empathy is a popular word in my classroom. I have a great sense of humor with kids and my relationships with kids are very authentic!

I will travel to my student's location - my lessons take place at my student's home or workplace or a convenient public location. I have worked with students in my area and online since 2004.

I’m a recent graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a degree in Biology. During my undergraduate, I majored in Biology and double minored in Chemistry and Neuroscience. I have been a tutor for about 4 years, working with various ages. My goal as a tutor is that the student always comes first. As a tutor I will make sure that the student not only improves their learning abilities, but also gain confidence and are excited about learning.
