About
I am currenlty working to become certified in English Language Arts and Reading from 7-12th grade. I have worked with a wide range of students of all ages and capabilities. I am also hoping to become certified in English as a Second Language soon as well! At the end of the year, I hope to be employed as a teacher somewhere in the Austin area.
Teaching is my passion, and I enjoy helping students in any way that I can. I hope that my enthusiasm for English rubs off on prospective students and that I can help ease their concerns about English, making it more enjoyable for them!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first session would be a trial time where I would get to know the student, find out their interests, and understand how they think and feel about the work they are doing. After that, I would develop a plan to help students based on what I thought they needed help in and what their own goals for themselves would be. I would continually set evaluations for students to check in on progess they are making and also see if they are meeting their goals they've set for themselves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a student in the UTeach program at UT Austin, I have worked at several different different schools in the Austin area, and worked with ages from 4th grade all the way through 11th graders. I have a wide experience of what goes into the teaching curriculum and also have a passion for teaching in general.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I range my pricing from $45-$55 a session. The reason I do price a little higher is because I am a certified teacher and have the knowledge of the Texas School System, standardized testing, TEKS, etc. that is more than beneficial for getting students where they need to be.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise students to go with their gut! They are an expert on what they need to improve upon and who can help them get there.
