I have been a public school teacher in Texas for 11 years, with experience teaching 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. Four of the years included teaching Reading Recovery to first graders. The last 6 years, I taught 5th grade math and science. I particularly love locating the math misconceptions and misunderstandings that cause students to struggle in math and helping to strengthen those areas. Older students often return to tell me that upper grade math classes were easy after having taken my class!

Mrs. Nesin is absolutely the best! She truly cares about her students. My son historically struggled in English. She worked closely with us to ensure our son was best prepared for the next grade level. She offered tutoring services in the Summer months and it was most beneficial for him. He did not pass TX STARR testing, but after Ms. Nesins tutoring and educational support, he easily passed TX STARR the following year and he is maintaining a B average. If you are in the market for a tutor, I highly recommend Mrs. Nesin!

Mrs. Nesin was a wonderful, caring, and thorough tutor. She helped my daughter with math after the school year ended to ensure she was prepared to go back to school the following year. Always willing to teach math skills to her at her level and build from there. My family would highly recommend Nesin Tutors!
