I have been tutoring for almost 10 years and I love helping people learn. I graduated from UC Berkeley this year and I am tutoring on the side while I study for the LSAT.
I work one on one with students of all ages. I specialize in standardized test prep, essay writing/ editing, college application assistance, and Math from grade school to Algebra 2.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I adjust my process based on what the student needs. Everyone learns differently and I like to adjust my teaching based on how the student works best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been done both paid and volunteer tutoring all throughout college, middle school, and high school. I have also taught English and Math to classrooms as mission work in India, Uganda, and Mexico.
I have experience with a wide range of ages and abilities. In the past, I have worked with families to create specialized curriculums for gifted students and students with learning disabilities, respectively.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing ranges from $50-$100 an hour for one on one tutoring, or $40 a person for groups of 2 or more.
How did you get started teaching?
My mom was an elementary school teacher and watching her taught me the importance of educated and what a gift it is to help someone learn.
