Patrick Song Tutoring
About
I am currently a freshman at Harvard University. Currently, I am studying computer science. My strengths are in mathematics, science, writing, and I enjoy applying problem solving skills in order to solve complex problems. Before becoming a tutor at Ivy Bound, I volunteered as a tutor, working with elementary, middle, and high school students. Additionally, I have personally helped to prepare students for the SAT and ACT. Now as a college student, I better understand the challenges facing students today in achieving academic success. My teaching strategies include guiding and encouraging students, and eventually teaching strategies to help students to solve answers on their own.
I enjoy seeing personal growth in students the most. Teaching is a selfless way of life; the more time you spend in the education system the more you become better at tutoring. I love ecouraging students to excel in their education, enhance their skills and achieve success in their life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My main goal is to understand the student's needs. For every lesson, I will prepare a curriculum for the students, but I always try to adapt my teaching to the student's strengths and weaknesses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have run a weekly math club at my local elementary schools, preparing and teaching math lessons to a group of 30 students. I was also an officer in my high school's math and science tutors club, tutoring high school students after school. I will be an incoming course assistant for Harvard's CS50 Introduction to Computer Science course in the fall.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
