Good grief! Summer vacation is almost over! All will be well. Students often get anxious as September approaches! I am available to tutor in reading, writing, grammar--all English Language Arts--as well as Social Studies, for 2nd through 9th graders.

I retired in June, 2011, after 34 years of teaching, which included 16 years of junior high (grades 7-9), 15 years of elementary (grades 2-6) and 3 years of college.

My experience in writing and language arts is extensive, and there is a new emphasis on this with the new Common Core Standards which are currently being implemented. I also have loved tutoring an incoming high school freshman in writing, and helped relieve some of her anxiety! I have been tutoring students this past school year and one continued for the summer. I love it! My students include students in grades 3-7. References provided upon request. My fee ranges from $70 - $75 an hour.
