What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessing the students needs as well as parents concerns, determine their learning style, and strengths and weaknesses. I like to have the students acknowledge their strengths as well as build rapport with new students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Chemistry and Biology for two years. Advanced math courses completed: algebra, geometry, calculus I and II, statistics, medical dosaging, and trigonometry.

How did you get started teaching?
I started in my sophomore year in high school. Parents who acknowledged my skills approached me with extreme concern for their child beign behind in class and lack of confidence in themselves. I took on the challenge and in less than a month their grades drastically went from D's to A's and B's.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with 1st graders, 3rd graders, 6th graders, and college students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that will address all your needs, has a background in the subjects, and someone that is a genuinely helpful and kind.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my strengths and weaknesses?
Do I understand any of the mathematical process for solving the questions? (Credit yourself for knowing how to start/end a problem.)
What is my learning style? Do I like using pictures to solve problems? Can the teacher just tell me how to do and I'll pick up on it or do I need to see every step?
