About
Hi, my name is Anna! I love tutoring and I'm stoked to start helping your child achieve their full potential and reach their goals. I aim to create a safe and caring space in my tutoring sessions so your kid won't be afraid to ask the questions they need answered.
I've been described as very patient, kind, considerable, and reliable, but I stand out from other tutors in my communication skills. I know how frustrating it can be trying to find the right tutor for your child, especially when the stakes of academic success is so high. I'm happy to take as much time as you want to get to know me before our first tutoring session, and I'll never rush or pressure you into working with me. You can expect periodic updates on your child's progress from me, and I like to keep an open line of communication with parents, so feel free to reach out to me whenever.
I love working with students of all ages and watching them grow in their academic skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before I start working with a new student I like to chat (via text, email or call) with the student and parent and make sure we're all on the same page about your expectations and goals for tutoring. I want to make sure you're extremely comfortable with me, since I know how important your child's academic future is, and how frustrating it can be finding the right tutor. For this reason I'm happy to take as much time as you want to get to know me before our first tutoring session, and I'll never rush or pressure you into working with me. Once you decide you'd like to move forward we'll set a schedule that works for both of us and begin tutoring. You can expect periodic updates on your child's progress from me, and I like to keep an open line of communication with parents, so feel free to reach out to me whenever. I don't require a minimum number of sessions, so you're welcome to leave when you feel is best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with honors with a BA in Chemistry from Grinnell College in 2019. I've worked as a math, chemistry, and physics tutor for the last 5 years.
