Hello, my name is Elyse. I will be taking on students starting January 2026. I have an AAS in Administration of Justice. I am a mom of 3, a grandmother of 4. I homeschooled my children as a single mother (husband was killed in 1998). I was also a substitute teacher for elementary students in Hamblen Co during the 2003-2004 school year. Currently I am taking classes to get a diploma for TEFL- teaching English to foreign speakers, with a discipline in teaching young children (ESL). Each child learns in their unique way and that is why I want to help yours succeed. I prefer to work with children aged 5-11, however, I am willing to consider older children depending on their needs including those with EIP's. I am offering 1 on 1 tutoring in my home and will be adding online tutoring in the future.
