I have worked with students from preschool to college-aged. I have taught classes of honors math students and classes of students with mathematical disabilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love using hands on examples and manipulatives to help students understand mathematical concepts. Recently I was working with a student in Geometry and I brought in blocks from my sons' toys and we used these to work on surface area and volume.
I also worked with some algebra students recently and used Algebra Tiles to illustrate binomial multiplication and factoring. This really connected with the student and it was a joy to watch!
