About
I'm a college graduate with over 5 years of experience in tutoring high school math. I enjoy teaching others how to learn, and I keep a prompt schedule with competitive prices. I like to establish where students are now and help them get from there to where they need to be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I meet with new students, I like to get to know them and work along with their current classwork as much as possible. Because math builds as it goes along, we learn how to do what they are working on. When something comes up that they struggle with understanding, we will reinforce the idea and make sure that they can comprehend it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the Crown College with a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry, which heavily focused on teaching and helping others. This helps me as I relate new concepts and reinforce old ones.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge around $40 an hour for most math tutoring.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring in college while tutoring friends who needed math help. After that, I was able to start tutoring a friend of my family, and from there I began tutoring many different students in the Knox County area.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students that struggled with math a lot to students who understand math concepts almost intuitively. It is important to learn how people learn and use that to their advantage.
